THE new year is still proving a good one for Jets’ junior section.

The under 13 boys beat Gateshead Tornadoes 94-51, while the boys’ U14 team claimed a derby victory over the Everton Tigers.

Having won their first meeting 79-38 in October, the Jets made it two out of two and set their highest points total of the season, winning 135-24. Top scorers were Adam Jones with 32 and Jack Griffiths with 31.

The U15s have all but booked their place in the play-offs after a 75-41 win at Barrow Thorns. Jets took control early in the first quarter and never lost their lead.

The boys’ U18 side played a double-header, winning at Liverpool on Saturday 80-49 with top scores from Neil Gillard (19) and Sam Craige (16). Sunday saw them play Sheffield Sharks in the Sureshot Cup quarter-finals.Š

Despite a brave performance, the Jets lost 79-68.
