THE Jets recorded their fifth win of the season on Friday night, defeating Leicester Riders 97-87 at the Northgate Arena.
Despite the win, it was the visiting Riders that started the brighter - they edged the first quarter 22-20 before 16 points from Mike Pegues helped them to a 50-42 lead at half-time. But the Jets rallied in the third quarter, closing out the period with a 24-2 run to take a commanding 74-63 lead into the final quarter.
And, although Riders never gave up, the closest they could get was 10 points in the fourth, as Chester eased to the win. John McCord led all scorers with 34 points for the Jets.
