SATELLITE broadcaster Setanta Sports has moved BBL basketball to its flagship channel after the success of its first three live games.
Setanta struck a deal with the BBL earlier this month to show live matches – including last Wednesday’s clash between the Cheshire Jets and Everton Tigers at the ECHO Arena, which drew a crowd of 5,800.
The link-up has proved a hit with viewers, so Setanta has decided to switch the games from Setanta Sports 2 to its main channel, Setanta Sports 1, which is open to more potential customers, particularly through subscription on the freeview platform and through BT Vision.
The games are shown every Wednesday at 7.30pm and the first match to be shown on Setanta Sports 1 was Wednesday’s clash between the Scottish Rocks and MK Lions.
The updated schedule for the remainder of the season is: April 2 – Sheffield Sharks v Leicester Riders; April 9 – Guildford Heat v Worcester Wolves; April 16 – Plymouth Raiders v MK Lions.
