BIG Storage Cheshire Jets enhanced their play-off prospects by picking up an important victory over Sheffield on Friday.
The visitors opened with the first 10 points of the game to take an early lead. A further 12-5 tear for the Jets took the score out to 42-29, and they held a 49-37 advantage going in at the half-time break.
The second period saw the Sharks close the gap to seven points at 62-55 off the back of an 11-2 run midway through the third quarter. But the Jets broke the game open with a 19-4 burst across the third/fourth quarter break to lead 81-59 midway through the final stanza. TJ Walker’s men held out for the victory, with Shawn Myers leading all scorers in the game with 33 points.
