JETS have welcomed new signing Malcolm Leak into their ranks.

Well known to seasoned BBL fans, having played for Leicester Riders, Newcastle Eagles and London Towers, the 6ft 8in forward brings vast experience to Chester's struggling team.

Leak made an impressive debut in Saturday's big win over London Towers but the veteran - who has not played competitively for a couple of seasons - played only a bit part 24 hours later as Jets crashed to a heavy home defeat to Leicester.

Jets head coach Billy Singleton said: 'I was very happy with his debut performance. As he gets fitter he will be a great addition to the team in both ability and experience.

'He only played briefly against Leicester because his body was so sore. He hasn't played at all really this season and it will take time for his body to adjust, but it will.'

Summer imports Terrence Robinson and Maurice Hargrow have parted company with Jets. Singleton refused to shed any light on the reasons for their departure but he confirmed they had both returned to the USA.
