RICHARD Murphy dropped a three-pointer 10 seconds from time to earn Jets a crucial win over Leicester Riders on Sund ay.
Murphy's late heroics - and a 32-point contribution from Jaz Cowan - gave the Jets an 82-80 victory over their play-off rivals at Northgate Arena.
Riders led 78-77 with 48 seconds left on the clock when Cowan scored two points to make it 79-77.
Yorick Williams responded with 30 seconds to go to make it 79-80 to the Riders, but Murphy stepped up to win it.
The night before in Newcastle, Jets were unable to prevent the Eagles from notching up their 10th win in a row as they went down 84-77.
Jets' Louis McCullough scored a game-high 30 points and Cowan 22.
