TWO former Jets won medals at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.
Pero Cameron captained New Zealand in their 81-76 loss to Australia in Friday's final, scoring 22 points. The 31-year-old left Chester in May 2003, but during his four-year spell at the Northgate Arena Jets progressed from being struggling also-rans to one of the country's top sides.
Another Jets old boy, Delme Herriman, scored six points in England's 80-57 win over Nigeria in the bronze medal play-off.
The 32-year-old forward won the first major title in his long career last season, when he helped Jets win the BBL championship.
The 6ft 6in ace is now captain of EBL side Manchester Magic.
