JETS bounced back from last week's heavy defeat by Scottish Rocks by moving into the play-off places thanks to a wonderful double triumph over the weekend.

Billy Singleton's side romped to a comfortable 94-72 victory at Birmingham Bullets on Saturday before following it up with a 105-92 win at home to Milton Keynes Lions the next day to edge themselves into the top eight.

Jets were in complete control of Saturday's encounter from start to finish with Phil Gilbert (22), Shawn Myers (14) and Damon Bailey (13) in top scoring form. They finished the first quarter with a comfortable 29-13 lead and as Bullets struggled to convert their opportunities in the second, Jets chalked up a 40-25 half-time lead.

A 10-0 burst from the Jets after the break finished the match off as a contest and the visitors went on to clock up a convincing scoreline for a much needed win on the road.

It got even better for Singleton and his men the following day as they leap-frogged Milton Keynes in the table after Gilbert (28) and Myers (24) once again inspired Jets to victory. This was a much tougher contest though and the home side were made to work for the win despite dominating the opening half 54-31.

After the interval, the visitors closed to within just seven points with Jets holding on at 68-61.

However, a trio of three-pointers from Gilbert restored Jets' dominance to round off a fantastic weekend's work which lifts them back into the play-off zone.

n Jets entertain Sheffield Sharks at the Northgate Arena on Friday (5.30pm) and the following day travel to face Brighton Bears (7pm).
