CHESTER Wheelchair Jets continued their winning run against Bradford Bears.

They defeated the Bears 59-25 at Darland Sports Centre in Rossett and scored their first points before Bradford even had a touch of the ball.

Caroline Ballard-East won the tip-off and knocked it to Billy Flanagan and, after a neat passing move, Caroline received the ball again to score.

The game began to swing one way then the other, and the quarter finished 12-7 in the Jets' favour.

The visitors hit back early in the second with only captain Anna Jackson, playing through the pain of a back injury, replying. But a change in play stifled the Bears and the Jets built a 23-11 lead at half-time.

Paddy Forbes came into the Jets' line-up in the third and scored 12 points in six minutes as the home side went into the final period 43-19 up.

Jackson took control in the fourth, scoring along with Flanagan and Nathan Cooper on his debut.
