JETS will spread the “Hoops for Health” gospel to more than 100 schools across the region this season.
The programme, which sees Jets players pass on healthy living advice to youngsters, was launched last year and delivered to 16 primary schools.
This year the scheme has been expanded and Jets will visit 120 schools in Chester, Warrington, Wirral and Flintshire in partnership with Cheshire Constabulary.
As well as passing on tips on healthy living, the Jets players also deliver basketball coaching as each school puts a team into a local basketball competition.
The programme ends in May when the overall winner of the Chester final will progress to the national Hoops for Health final at the NIA in Birmingham to compete in front of 7,000-plus basketball fans at the BBL finals.
