A ROLLERCOASTER weekend for the Jets saw them take a commanding victory on the road before being beaten heavily at Northgate Arena.
The Jets travelled to Hackney to face London United on Saturday and ran out 112-86 winners, but just 24 hours later they collapsed to a 112-67 home defeat at the hands of Leicester Riders.
Leicester raced to a 32-4 first quarter lead and cruised through the rest of the game. The closest Chester closed the gap in any period was end of the second quarter when it stood at 26 points with Leicester leading 54-23.
Jaz Cowan's 26 points were not enough to pull Chester out of the flames as they crashed to defeat against their bottom-of-the-table rivals.
The day before, however, Jets were firing on all cylinders.
A massive 41 points from Cowan plus 25s from Alto Virgil and James Hamilton pushed them on to a big win at London's SPACe Centre.
United could not get into the game as the visitors built an 18-point lead by the end of the second quarter. In the third, Jets extended that lead to 25 points as they went into the final period 87-62 up.
London put up a big fight towards the end but could not catch the Jets, took their third league victory of the season.
