Cheshire Phoenix have announced the signing of 6’6’ American forward Earl Brown for the up coming season.

A graduate from NCAA Division One college Saint Francis where he finished his college career 11th on the Saint Francis scoring list with 1,373 points and was just five rebounds shy of of 10th place on the school's list, averaging 15 points and eight rebounds per game.

Brown spent his first professional season in the Icelandic league during the 2015/16 season where he averaged 24 points and 12 rebounds for Keflavik.

Nix head coach Colin O’Reilly said: "Earl was one of the first players we identified this summer, so we are really happy to have been able to bring him to the Phoenix. Earl attitude and personality on and off the court really fits with what we are building here.”

Brown joins Josh Wilcher, Jamell Anderson, Marcel Mosley and Kaj-Bjorn Sherman on the Phoenix roster for next season, with more signings expected soon.

Brown said: "I would like to thank Coach Colin and the whole organisation for giving me the opportunity. I am excited to get started and meet the team and fans."
