CHESHIRE Jets tip-off their season with a big double-header.

Paul Smith’s side open up at Worcester Wolves on Saturday, September 18 as they begin their BBL Trophy campaign.

Last season they reached the final of the competition, losing to Newcastle Eagles in Guildford, and they will want to secure qualification from their group as swiftly as possible this time out.

The following evening is their first home game of the season and sees their second group match, against derby rivals Mersey Tigers, take place at the Northgate Arena.

The next weekend the Trophy campaign continues with Worcester visiting Chester on Sunday, September 26 and the Jets travel to Everton on October 1 for the return game there.

The BBL Championship campaign begins in earnest on October 3 with the visit of Essex Pirates to the Northgate.

Jets have received a bye into the quarter-finals of the BBL Cup, having also reached the final of that competition last year.

As a result they will play either Essex Pirates or Leicester Riders at the Northgate on Sunday, November 14.
