JETS bounced back from their BBLTrophy final heartache with an excellent win at the Northgate Arena last night.
The hosts looked to have the win in the bag going into the fourth quarter as they held a 20-point cushion. But Leicester made them sweat, winning the final stanza 30-20.
Jets’ victory was based on an 11-2 run at the start of the second quarter. A similar opening to the third saw the Jets go on a 14-6 burst, all after a fairly even first quarter which finished 29-23 to Paul Smith’s men.
Jets spread the scoring around. Jerrah Young and Shawn Myers led the way with 20 points each, Chez Marks scored 10 of his 16 points in the first quarter and Calvin Davis scored 11.
