THE Jets tightened their grip on a top-eight play-off place by handing out a beating to the BBL Championship’s whipping boys last night.

Veteran James Hamilton scored 31 points to do most of the damage for the seventh-placed Northgate Arena outfit, who are now just two points behind fourth-placed Leicester Riders and eight from ninth-placed Guildford Heat.

The 28-point victory was the perfect response from the Jets following their six-point reverse at the Riders the night before.

Chez Marks (21) and Shawn Myers (20) complemented Hamilton’s game-high haul.
