UKIP candidate Henry Crocker is hoping to increase his number of voters for the third election running as he hails the progress made by party.

Mr Crocker has been pleased with the reaction he’s received locally during his election campaign

However, he’s unhappy with the national media coverage which he believes has been biased towards the three main parties.

“It’s gone pretty well with one exception. Any canvassing should include all the parties involved. On the television everything is centred round Labour, the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats”, said Mr Crocker.

“Locally the campaign has been good. Some people seem to support us and some don’t even talk to us , but they are the absolutely committed Labour and Conservative supporters who have always voted that way.

“You have to remember UKIP only started in 1993. People are listening to us, taking in what we say and agreeing with us.”
