Alas I have left my surf board in another life but, bathers on, we race between the flags to enjoy being tumbled and tossed in the huge waves.
Watch the professionals riding the waves and Bondi Surf Rescue at the ready. Awesome. Finish the day watching the sun go down over Balmoral Beach.
Fish and chips, bottle of wine and a competitive game of 'keepy uppy'. Fingers crossed that our flight is on time tomorrow and uneventful.
Sydney, with its stunning harbour, beautiful beaches, temperate climate, good food and friendly people, must be one of the best places in the world to be stranded.
