There was something for everyone at the summer fair held at Westminster Park Community Centre.

The event was officially opened by the Deputy Lord Mayor of Chester, Razia Daniels, who joined parents in enjoying a musical performance by students of Belgrave Primary School and browsed a variety of stalls and attractions.

These included plants, face painting, a football tournament and charity stalls from Dial House, Claire House, The Deaf/Blind Association, Help for Heroes, Chester Childbirth Appeal, The Babygrow, St Mary’s Church, Handbridge, St Bart’s Church, Sealand, Chester Riverside Rotary Club, Belgrave Pre-School, Gardening Club and Lache and Westminster Park Local History Group.

Cllr Daniels said: “I met so many people and everyone I spoke to had fun.

“It takes a lot of time and effort to organise events like this. We would like to thank everyone involved in making the event such a great success.”
