A trip to Neverland was enjoyed by staff, students and audience members at Bishop Heber High School in Malpas when the sixth form staged its annual revue.

The choice of production this year was the JM Barrie classic Peter Pan but with a few novel twists.

Peter, played by Zac Denman, was simply ‘trying his best’ to be with Wendy (Alicja Dybalska) and in doing so followed her from London to Wrexham, getting in many situations he didn’t want to be in along the way, including the mysterious Captain Hook (Will Edwards) and the terrifying Barney the Dinosaur played by Jess Burgess.

Magnificent work from director Ben Murray combined with the terrific effort from his ensemble cast, many of whom had never set foot on a stage before. Both the upper and lower years of the sixth form contributed and there was even a cameo role from one or two teachers.
