ALMOST 200 animal lovers flocked to Daleside Vets in Pandy for their open day.
Youngsters were even able to try their hand at veterinary work such as stitching, injecting and finding microchips – on stuffed toys.
Visitors were given information on how to safeguard their pet’s health and were shown some of the practice’s X-rays.
Vanessa Griffiths from Daleside Vets said: “A veterinary practice is a truly fascinating place to work and we know public are very interested in what goes on behind the scenes.
“We thought it would be a great opportunity to meet current, and perhaps new, clients in an informal way and to let them see what ‘a day in the life’ of a veterinary practice is like.”
Refreshments, face-painting and games were available for younger visitors as well as competitions.
Daleside didn’t forget their four-legged friends either and free doggy bags were available for everyone to go home with.
