YOUNG people in Ellesmere Port have left a lasting mark on the town, thanks to a series of projects organised by local churches.
As part of the Engage 2010 week held during late July, young people and adults worked together on a number of community projects in Westminster, including:
a new raised bed allotment at Hollymere
a digital mapping study of the graveyard at Christchurch
and a new mural at Forum Housing’s Young People’s Homeless Project.
Engage 2010 also included:
a free community car wash at Trinity Methodist Church
a Fairtrade chocolate-tasting event in the town centre
a ‘free joke’ give-away in the town centre
and a community barbecue in Whitby Park.
