THEIR portrayal of the Wild West, complete with cowboys, Indians and dancing saloon girls, set the seal on victory for actors from Malpas Young Farmers’ Club.

For the second consecutive year the club won the Cheshire Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs Entertainments Competition.

It involves each club in the county putting on a production of around 30 minutes, and this year nine clubs competed.

Malpas’s winning performance was a comical western titled ‘Stranger in Town’, and it wowed the judges.
