TRANSPORT firms have come to the aid of Nightingale House Hospice’s Ladies Midnight Walk on Saturday, June 27.
GT Executive Travel and Wrexham and Prestige Taxis are each supplying a 16-seater minibus, which will be used to transport the volunteer marshals to and from their checkpoints along the 10-mile route.
Community fundraiser Sandra Monks said: “We are very grateful to GT Executive Travel and Wrexham and Prestige Taxis for their involvement with the walk and for supporting the hospice.”
The walk starts from Llwyn Isaf, in front of the Guildhall, at midnight, and follows a well-lit paved route through Wrexham.
Entry is £10 and every walker receives a T-shirt, which this year will be a bright orange/ red, refreshments along the way, a goody bag and a medal at the finishing post.
Bunny ears and glow sticks will be on sale on the night, with all proceeds going to the hospice.
