JIM WHITLEY has been offered a full-time contract at Wrexham.

The versatile Whitley, who can play at full-back or in midfield, arrived at The Racecourse three weeks ago from Manchester City on a non-contract basis.

A doubtful starter on Sunday's clash with Cardiff because of a ankle ligament injury, Whitley has been offered a full-time deal after impressing new manager Denis Smith in the five games he has played.

Wrexham look likely to sign Kevin Sharp the 27-year-old former Leeds and Wigan defender on a non-contract basis and he could be in line for a debut against the Bluebirds.
