WREXHAM Labour MP Ian Lucas has praised the hard work of a group of Llay villagers after a visit to their community allotment.
Mr Lucas visited the allotment following a surgery held in the Llay Miners’ Welfare Institute.
He met local residents and was given a tour of the allotments, which have produced a number of prize-winning crops.
He said: “I was very pleased to have been invited and I have already promised I will return.
“The hard work being put into the plots by all involved was clear to see and the range of crops being produced truly staggering. Visiting community projects like this really helps to brighten your day.”
