WREXHAM lawyer Peter Butler has taken office as vice president elect of the Chester and North Wales Incorporated Law Society.
A commercial and civil litigation specialist, Mr Butler is managing partner of Gwilym Hughes & Partners (GH&P), where he heads up the company and employment departments.
The largest law firm in North Wales, GH&P employs about 100 staff and has offices in Wrexham, Llangollen and Oswestry.
Mr Butler joined the firm in 1976.
He said: “It’s a great honour and privilege to serve the Law Society and I look forward to promoting the professional expertise and excellence it represents in the region.”
