DIVORCE lawyers from one of Wrexham’s oldest law firms witnessed an unusually complex set of marital relationships when they went to see a play being sponsored by the firm at the town’s Grove Park Theatre.

GHP Legal, which until recently was known as Gwilym Hughes and Partners, is a long-time supporters of the theatre and has several amateur actors on its staff who have performed there.

This latest sponsored production, a wickedly entertaining farce by Alan Ayckbourn entitled How the other Half Loves, centres on the complex relationships of three married couples whose hanky panky exceeds anything many divorce lawyers might see in a lifetime. The play runs until Saturday.

In a setting as complex as their relationships, the six characters frolic their way through love and laughter, lies and liaisons, passion and panic in this play from England’s most admired comic playwright.

Peter Butler, managing partner of GHP Legal, said: “This play is a classic and the performance was wonderfully executed. GHP Legal is delighted to be sponsoring the staging of it, especially since it means we are supporting the town’s excellent theatre facility.”
