WREXHAM administrators David Acland and Steve Williams have urged the club's supporters to stand fully behind new owners Neville Dickens and Geoff Moss.

Acland told more than 200 fans attending the annual meeting of Wrexham Supporters Trust that the £3.325m deal was on course to be completed on

June 29 and would bring an end to their 18-month long stewardship of the club.

Until then, he added, much of what was happening behind the scenes had to be taken on faith. "We trust Nev and Geoff to do what's right for the club," said Acland.

"We aim to hand over control of the club on June 29 and by that stage they will have a new board of directors and a chief

executive in place. "The prospective new chief executive is the right man for Wrexham, but he is not going to pack in his current job until he knows absolutely that the sale of the club will be concluded on June 29.

"You have got to trust Nev and Geoff and work with them. Negative views are picked up by us and by other people as well and you have to remember that

they are particularly reluctant purchasers."

Explaining that Dickens was on holiday and Moss reluctant to attend Thursday night's meeting on his own, Acland added: "This is a scary proposition sitting here in front of so many committed fans.

"You ask questions we don't like, you embarrass us and force us to make admissions that are reported in the Press."
