Children, staff and the PTA at Tattenhall Park Primary School are looking forward to their annual Worm Fest on Saturday, June 7.

This popular event takes place on Tattenhall Park School playing field and the wiggle-off is at 1.30pm.

Worm Charming is a growing sport and winners of this competition qualify for the World Alternative Games in Llanbedr.

Current champions Daisy (a Year 6 pupil at the school) and her father, Paul Keeley charmed their way to success last year and will return this year to try to retain their title.

There are lots of stalls, games and fun for all the family and the children are hoping to beat the world record of 556 worms charmed in 30 minutes at the same time as raising much needed funds to purchase new musical instruments to enable all children in our school to participate in music lessons and enhance our growing school band.

The fair is open to the public and if you wish to go on the day and have a go at charming worms from the ground, a plot will cost you £6. Teams of 4 are allowed.
