A WOMAN managed to escape a blaze that started in a bedroom of a property on Grafton Road, Ellesmere Port.
Fire crews were called to the house at 10.44pm on Thursday (April 1) evening after reports that a woman was trapped in a house fire.
When they arrived they found the bedroom in the property well alight, with thick smoke throughout.
The woman had managed to escape the fire and was waiting outside.
Fire crews extinguished the blaze and used a ventilation fan to clear the smoke.
Fire investigators are currently trying to establish the cause of the blaze.
