WITTON Albion’s bid to return to the UniBond Premier at the first time of asking sees the Wincham Park club take to the road for their opening-day fixture at Spalding United.

The League released the First Division South fixtures on Wednesday and Gary Finley’s men have two home clashes in the space of a week.

After the opening-day journey to the Tulips of Lincolnshire, Witton host Rushall Olympic on Tuesday, August 18 (7.45pm) and then Belper Town on Saturday, August 22 (3pm).

On Tuesday, September 15, Albion travel to the oldest club in the world when they play Sheffield FC (7.45pm). On Boxing Day, Witton host familiar foes Cammell Laird (3pm) and on New Year’s Day, rivals Leek Town are the hosts.
