THE second meeting of Cheshire West and Chester Council’s Winsford Community Forum will take place next Wednesday, September 16, at the library.

At the inaugural forum residents raised issues ranging from speeding traffic to education provision to the need for improved access to health services.

The main topic for discussion at the forthcoming meeting will be a presentation by John Reilly, principal of Mid-Cheshire College, on Winsford’s Learning Zone.

CWaC’s director of children’s services, John Stephens, will also be giving a presentation entitled ‘Building Success for Winsford’.

The main meeting will start at 7pm with a ‘community safety surgery’ beginning at 6.30pm. Councillors will also be available to discuss concerns with residents and community groups.

Cllr Brian Clarke, chairman of Winsford Community Forum said: “These are exciting times for Winsford with the building of the Learning Zone and potential opportunities for re-shaping education provision.

“The forum provides a framework for residents to find out more about these developments and other issues that affect their communities.”
