PUPILS of St Christopher’s School in Wrexham visited Eagles Meadow to collect a £250 prize for winning an art competition.

The contest was organised as part of the celebrations surrounding the opening of the development in October.

The school’s Wrexham Waterworld themed creation won through against stiff competition from other schools.

Simon Pullen, centre manager, said: “We wanted to organise a competition which would involve local schools and thought the best way was to get them to give us their take on Wrexham in the form of painting, drawing or collage.

“We received some terrific work from many schools and displayed some of the entries on opening day, but St Christopher’s depiction of Wrexham Waterworld won through to scoop the £250 prize.”
