The event boasts free admission to the boat lift exhibition and grounds while the elegant trip boat Edwin Clark will be operating an additional trip to cater for the increased numbers.
The fun starts at 11.00am and continues on both days until 5pm.
Organisers promise there will be plenty on show to interest all the family, from a Punch and Judy show to market stalls with local crafts and wares.
Anderton Boat Lift manager Tim Turner said: “We’ve expanded our horizons this year by involving local craft and gift producers, in addition to inviting charities to participate. We’re sure this will appeal to a wide range of visitors from Cheshire and further afield.”
