FOUR local charities have benefited from a book written by an author about his life and work in Whitchurch.
Albert Minshall launched his book called A Wonderful Lifetime in March at the town’s Macdonald Hill Valley Hotel, Golf and Spa on Tarporley Road.
The 74-year-old has already raised £1,250 for four charities in the region along with £150 for The Smile Train which is the world’s largest cleft charity from sales of the autobiography.
Whitchurch Hospital has been boosted by £500 and Whitchurch Cricket Club, Whitchurch Alport Junior Football Club and Wem Amateur, Dramatic and Operatic Society have all received £250.
Albert’s autobiography tells his life story and how he bought and created Hill Valley, which has been transformed in the last few years by an £11.8 million refurbishment and extension.
