A WIDOWER admitted driving home with two flat tyres after a night drinking with a friend.

David Phillips, 59, of Blackthorne Avenue, Whitby, Ellesmere Port, appeared at Chester and Ellesmere Port Magistrates Court on Monday, charged with dangerous driving and failing to provide a specimen of breath.

Phillips was spotted by police at approximately 1am on March 8, driving in an erratic manner along Overpool Road. He was given a 12 week custodial sentence, suspended for 12 months and ordered to carry out 200 hours unpaid work in the community.

He was disqualified for 30 months and had to pay £95 costs.
