PUPILS and staff got into the comic spirit of Red Nose Day by donning wacky clothes and recording their own Harlem Shake.

The worldwide dance craze has inspired many imitators and youngsters at Whitby High School were keen to get in on the act.

The pupils took part in a red non-uniform day to raise money for both Comic Relief and the British Heart Foundation.

Pupils and staff also took part in a red nose-themed Harlem Shake and a red nose ramble, when pupils paid £1 to complete a lap of the school’s cross-country course in their Red Nose Day outfits.
