WEST Cheshire College is reminding young people about the help and career advice that is available to them.

The college has a team of careers advisers that can help discuss the options available to young people and the offer, part of the National Careers Service, is available to anyone intending to study at the college, stay on at school, wanting to get a job or start an apprenticeship.

The experienced team provides one-to-one expert and impartial careers advice – ensuring young people are informed and empowered to make the right decision for their style of learning and future career ambitions.

Steven Jones, from Wirral, who met the college’s careers advisers, said: “I’ve never really had any good careers advice in the past.

“I sat down with an adviser at college and spoke to them about what I was interested in doing and discussed my career goals.

“The team really helped me and outlined about three courses that I might be interested in.”

He added: “I have now applied to university to study marine engineering and in the future my goal is to work abroad.”

Anyone wanting advice on their future decisions can pop into the college and talk to a adviser or call 01244 656440 to book an appointment.
