An Ellesmere Port super slimmer has set up a new healthy lifestyle food business in her home town.

Owner and cook Sarah-Jayne Evans has opened Luscious Fayre Ltd.

Sarah-Jayne said of her new company: “Our products truly make it easier for you to eat healthily at home, at work or at play.”

Luscious Fayre specialises in handmade food.

All products have the added bonus of being gluten free, suitable for vegetarians and suitable for people who are undertaking a weight management regime.

Sarah-Jayne, an award-winning healthy lifestyle enthusiast, has been helping others achieve their goals by means of empowerment, encouragement, inspiration and sharing of knowledge.

Sarah-Jayne is all too familiar with the issues of an unhealthy lifestyle.

She had struggled with her own weight issues since childhood but decided it was time to take control of her weight problem in 1999.

She set about joining a local healthy lifestyle group that fitted around her work and her social life.

Sarah-Jayne achieved her ideal target weight in August 2008. During her journey, she attained awards for her weight loss and inspirational contributions, was voted class Miss Slinky 2004, and class Woman of the Year 2008 by her peers.

However, it was not an easy journey and Evans found it difficult to find tasty and healthy food options that were ready made or quick to prepare.

She often wished that someone would start a business to provide such a service to her and her peers following the same regime.

So when the opportunity arose in 2013, Evans decided to take on the challenge.

She enlisted the assistance of Riverside Innovation Centre in Chester for business guidance, support and mentoring and was successful in securing some funding from a local entrepreneur.

Sarah-Jayne initially developed a range of healthy soups and promoted Luscious Fayre healthy lifestyle food at Farm Shops, at farmers markets and at other food and lifestyle events across Cheshire, Wirral, Manchester and North Wales.

She said: “Maintaining a healthy lifestyle for more than 15 years has ensured that the products we develop are able to provide a great foundation on which to further assist others to achieve their healthy lifestyle goals.

“Our food products give customers more time to spend on themselves or with their families as all the preparation and cooking has been done for them.”

Luscious Fayre Ltd has expanded its range and now offers an array of handmade soup, dips, sauces, smoothies and gravy, packaged in freezable, microwaveable and recyclable tubs.

New product additions include one-pot meals, starting with a three bean chilli.

All products are available to order online and can be delivered.
