WAR heroes are being honoured in books of remembrance at Overpool and Neston cemeteries.

The memorial testament reads: “Overpool and Neston Cemeteries are home to a number of war graves in memory of those who served our country. Within this place may their souls rest”.

Julie Proctor, Ellesmere Port and Neston Council’s bereavement services manager, said: “We thought it appropriate to commemorate the memory of those who are buried within war graves at both our cemeteries. It is an honour to provide a lasting testament to them all.”

The books of remembrance are housed within the chapel buildings at both cemeteries and will be on display from Monday, November 10 to Friday, November 14.
