Kind-hearted staff from two rural care homes presented a cheque for£200 to a Tarporley residential club.

The workers, from Iddenshall Home and Beeston View all took part in a 10-mile walk from Tarporley to Kelsall last September to raise money for the OPAL club at Tiverton.

The club, which stands for ‘Older People Active Lives’ is part of a scheme run by West Cheshire Rural Community Services.

They celebrated with a glass of champagne and a new friendship was formed locally between the home and the club.
