VOLUNTEERS scaled Mount Snowdon to raise money for Mid-Cheshire College’s charity African Support & Assistance Project (ASAP), which is aiming to raise £25,000 to rebuild an African school.

For the past five years, staff and students from the Hartford-based college have organised fundraising events ranging from fashion shows to sponsored walks, car boot sales and raffles.

And construction work to rebuild the school in the village of Befole in Lesotho, one of the poorest parts of Africa.

In a final push to reach the £25,000 target, 29 staff and students climbed 3,560 feet to the top of Mount Snowdon, Wales’ highest peak, and raised more than £2,000.
