MORE than 100 volunteers attended a presentation in Little Sutton.

The volunteers, who work for an organisation which supports a number of local charities, gathered together at the Quality Hotel on Friday night.

The event was organised by Ellesmere Port Charities Support Shop which raises cash for a number of good causes, including Ellesmere Port & Neston Community Transport, the local branch of forces help charity SSAFA, Cat Rescue, Riding for the Disabled, HELP Everyone Lessen Pain, South Wirral Stroke Club and Chapter, which serves people with a mental disability.

The money comes mainly from two charity shops in Chester Road, Whitby. Around 20 of the volunteer ladies who staff them were honoured on the night.

Guest of honour for the evening was deputy borough mayor, Cllr Keith Butcher.

There was a buffet laid on and entertainment was provided by vocalist and DJ Dave Beaumont. There were also raffles and a tombola stall.
