IF you are aged 16-25 and looking for a challenge then the Prince's Trust Volunteers Programme may be just the ticket.
The Prince's Trust Volunteers Programme (PTV) at Yale College in Wrexham is recruiting a team to take part in its next Wrexham programme which runs from Monday, March 22.
It is a fun-packed 12 weeks which can help develop confidence, leadership, problem solving, communication and team working skills.
The programme is a team challenge which includes activities such as canoeing, climbing and abseiling. The programme also gives skills and opportunities to secure employment including work experience.
You have the opportunity to come away with a Profile of Achievement, Basic Food Hygiene and First Aid certificates and Key Skills in Improving Own Learning and Working with Others.
Team Leader for Wrexham, Andrew Brown, said of the programme: 'It's great to be part of the challenge of something which is so rewarding to communities and individuals. The beauty of the programme is the results it achieves in skills learned, additional qualifications and lifelong friendships made.'
The programme will start on Monday, March 22, based in the St Giles Church Hall, Rhosnesni, in Wrexham. Organisers say it will be a busy 12 weeks, but that it may very well turn someone's life around.
