About: I'm 17-year-old Holly Mason from Chester and a student at West Cheshire College in Handbridge.

I have liked photography ever since my mum bought me a disposable camera for when I went away for a week with my primary school when I was 11 and I could not stop taking photographs! The thought of taking photographs to me it is like saving a memory before it disappears, and you get to keep that photograph and remind yourself  of the memories you have had.

I really started studying photography in 2009 but then took a course in high school that allowed me to research more in depth about photography. I did some projects experimenting with different parts of photography and where I could go from there.

I have only recently bought a Canon 600D which is a DSLR camera and I can safely say it is only the beginning of what I want to pursue in life.

As soon as I started college I loved it and realised what I wanted to achieve and I have set goals for the future. I have been trying very hard with my work and I just want to be recognised in what I do, and maybe start freelance photography and or journalism also photojournalism.

I've been asked to do photography for a few gigs that are being held this year too which I'm really excited about. But for now I will just have to wait and see what comes my way.
