NORTHWICH RC’s Veteran D eight won their pennant at North of England Head event on the Dee at Chester on Saturday.
They clocked 16mins 43sec for the 5km course, were the fastest boat in their division and the second fastest overall to a York City squad.
Bob Jepson, Simon Crouchley, Matt Hackett, Geoff Sims, George Perrin, Ray Smith, John Billows, Doug Pickup and cox Jonty Moore turn their attention to the Tideway Head on the Thames on Saturday, where they will be joined by a Northwich Veteran C crew.
The Men’s Senior lV crew was one of 10 in their category and finished in a promising 18.02 compared to the winning time of 15.39 set by Durham.
