GROUNDWORK Wrexham and Flintshire are seeking views of residents on the Bryn Y Cabanau play area development.
Groundwork is holding two consultation events to make sure the views and ideas of Hightown residents are heard when the play space is refurbished and regenerated.
Bryn Y Cabanau will be one of the ‘Greener Living Spaces’ supported by profits raised from Marks & Spencer’s 5p charge for food carrier bags.
M&S and Groundwork will improve the Bryn Y Cabanau play area, which is currently an underused site.
Money will be invested in extending the range of currently restrictive play opportunities to create an innovative and natural area for traditional play, natural play and educational play elements.
A community consultation will take place on Monday, April 6, from 5-7pm at Luke O’Connor House, Hightown. Everybody is welcome and people can just turn up on the day.
Mary Hext, Environmental projects officer at Groundwork Wrexham & Flintshire, said: “We are very excited to be delivering this community project in Wrexham which will give opportunities for local families to enjoy a transformed natural play area.”
