A GANG of four men armed with hammers and knives put three people in hospital following a vicious attack at a flat in Little Sutton.

Three men and two women were socialising in the Station Road property when the attackers forced their way in at 11pm on Saturday.

During the attack two of the male occupants fell from the first floor window.

One of them remains in hospital after an operation on cuts he sustained to his arm, while the other was released following treatment.

A female occupant suffered concussion as a result of the attack and was released the next day.

The gang caused extensive damage to the flat and two of them were seen heading towards the A41 in a dark blue, H-registration Ford Escort.

The first man is described as having olive-coloured skin and dark hair, clean shaven, of thin build, 5ft 4-5ins tall and between 19 and 20 years old.

He was wearing a woolly hat and dark clothing and spoke with an Ellesmere Port accent.

The second man was also white, aged about 22 or 23, of stocky build with blond hair and wearing a black woolly hat. He was taller than the first offender.

The third man was white with dark clothing and the fourth was also white and of slim build.

A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “We are appealing for witnesses to this incident.
