PLANS were agreed for a vacant business unit on Chester’s outskirts to become a veterinary hospital.

The application was put forward in Telford Court on the Dunkirk Trading Estate at Chester Gates by Gladman Developments.

The landscaped commercial units are close to the M56.

Planning officers were told approval was being sought for a change of use of the unit, which had permission for business purposes in 2001.

No objections were raised by parish councillors or by highway engineers. One objection was sent to borough planners which argued a veterinary hospital would not be suitable on a business park.

The application was recommended for approval.
