HOLLYOAKS star Daniel Hyde had a narrow escape from death in a road crash.
The actor, who plays hunk Scott Anderson, was thrown through the wind-screen of his powerful sports car yesterday.
Mr Hyde, 30, rolled his luxury £75,000 TVR car in Hale village, Cheshire, before being tossed onto the road. The star was taken to hospital and received treat-ment for cuts and severe bruising.
A fireman at the scene said: "He is lucky to be alive. This horrendous accident could have been much worse than it was.
"He was driving a very powerful sports car and appears to have rolled it and in the process has been thrown from the vehicle. The roof has been ripped clean off and his car is now completely flattened.
"If he had still been inside the car when it impacted with the roof he would have been killed instantly.
"In the end he just suffered cuts and bruises. It's amazing he escaped at all."
A spokesman for Mersey Regional Ambulance service said he may not have been wearing his seatbelt at the point of impact.
